Henderson 24-Hour Release Records
No official Henderson County released-last-24-hours feed was found in the county sweep. The Henderson County Detention Center menu links to Current Inmates, which opens a current-only JailTracker view. It is not a former-inmate archive. It has no published 24-hour tab, retention window, or update schedule. A name that no longer appears may reflect release, transfer, a data change, or a search mismatch.
That distinction matters at HCDC because the jail holds county detainees and some state and federal prisoners. A person may leave the building on bond, after time served, on probation, or under another court order. Another person may be transported to Kentucky Department of Corrections custody, another jail, or a federal authority. Only the event record and destination explain which occurred.
Check Henderson Same-Day Releases
Begin with the official current roster only to capture a visible booking identifier and to see whether custody is still shown. Then move to records that preserve or report an actual change. For one known person, the full named-person route is covered on the Henderson County released inmate search.
- Search the HCDC current-inmate interface using the correct spelling. Save the booking number and admission date if shown.
- Check Kentucky VINE for the same person and look for a custody-status event. Treat the event as notice, not a certified record.
- Review the Henderson court docket for a bond order, dismissal, sentence, probation order, or other authority that may explain release.
- Send HCDC a booking-specific open-records request for the actual release date and time, release authority, disposition, and destination.
- For a KDOC-classified person, check KOOL and the KDOC Daily Releases reports. For a federal prisoner, follow the named federal authority.
Each step answers a different part of the question. Court records explain legal authority. VINE provides a custody-change notice from a participating agency. HCDC holds the local booking and release record. KOOL applies to Kentucky corrections jurisdiction, not every short county stay.
Henderson 24-Hour Release Fields
Because Henderson County has no official 24-hour display, the fields below are the items to request from the retained release record. They are not claimed as columns on the live roster. A narrow request helps HCDC locate an existing record rather than asking staff to compile a new report.
| Requested field | What it establishes |
|---|---|
| Name and booking number | Connects the event to one HCDC admission. |
| Admission date | Separates the booking from earlier or later stays. |
| Actual release date and time | Records when jail processing ended for that event. |
| Release authority or order | Identifies the court or agency that directed the move. |
| Disposition or release category | Distinguishes bond, time served, probation, dismissal, or another result. |
| Destination or receiving agency | Shows community release versus continued custody elsewhere. |
Kentucky’s jailer records schedule describes a closed jail register that may contain when and by whose order a person was discharged, days in jail, and remarks. The cumulative inmate file may connect admission and release data with court material, photographs, and property records. Access can still be limited field by field.
Request Today’s Henderson Release Entry
Use the HCDC Open Records Request procedure. The jail requires its standard written form, and an inmate-record request must include the full name and date of birth. Requests may be sent by email or mail at any time, or delivered by hand during public business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding holidays.

Ask for an existing admission-and-release sheet or computer entry tied to the named booking and date range. Include a mailing address. The records email does not answer general status questions. The posted response period is five business days, excluding weekends and legal holidays, so this route creates reliable proof but is not an instant same-day feed.
Inspection by appointment is free. Posted copy charges are ten cents for each black-and-white page. Electronic records are free, though files larger than 4 MB go on a one-dollar CD, with postage added. Production and postage charges must be prepaid.
Henderson Release Data Has Layers
The web roster and the legally retained jail file serve different purposes. A live operational list can change as soon as custody changes. By contrast, Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives series L2751 sets a five-year-after-release retention period for the cumulative inmate file. The durable fallback is therefore a booking-specific request, not an inference drawn from an empty search result.
The current HCDC JailTracker interface illustrates the current-only layer:
Its live booking view can help identify a record while someone remains returned, but the retained HCDC file is the stronger source after that booking drops away.
Note: The five-year schedule supports retention of the file, but it does not make every confidential component open for inspection.
Henderson Release App Limits
Henderson County’s local notification page links to the VINE mobile app. That tool provides custody-status notices for participating agency records. It is not a Henderson sheriff or jailer app, and it does not create a county mugshot or same-day release feed.
No official Henderson County, Kentucky sheriff or jailer app was verified in the research sweep. Results carrying an 828 area-code phone number or a Hendersonville address concern Henderson County, North Carolina. They should not be used for Kentucky release information.
VINE still has value for a known person. Register against the correct record and verify any alert with HCDC, KDOC, or the court. A notification time can trail the agency’s event time, and participating-agency coverage should be checked in the live service.
Getting Home After Henderson Release
A confirmed community release does not guarantee a fixed transit stop or service at the jail gate. HCDC is at 380 Borax Drive. Henderson Area Rapid Transit publishes service Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with no Sunday service and no service on specified holidays. No fixed HART stop at HCDC was verified.
Before relying on transit, call HART at 270-831-1249 with the Borax Drive location and the expected pickup time. A family member should also confirm that processing is complete before traveling. A court order, bond posting, or VINE notice can precede the moment staff finish the physical release.
Note: A transfer out of HCDC is not a trip home; confirm the destination before arranging transportation or property pickup.
Henderson Bond Release Timing
HCDC’s prominent bond notice says cash bonds only and directs payment to different locations depending on courthouse hours. It also warns about telephone and online-payment scams. Older official bond material conflicts about weekday hours and lists fees that vary by location, so call HCDC or the court before traveling or paying.
Posting bond is a court-authorized conditional release, not a finding that the case ended or that time was fully served. The court docket can show the order, while the HCDC release entry provides the actual event time. If another hold exists, payment on one case may not result in community release.
Henderson Custody Versus Release
The system selected must match the person’s legal path. County, state, and federal records can overlap at HCDC, but they do not prove the same event.
| Situation | Best next source |
|---|---|
| Still returned by current JailTracker | HCDC current-custody detail |
| Local booking no longer returned | HCDC release entry and Henderson court case |
| KDOC-classified release from HCDC | KDOC Daily Releases and KOOL |
| VINE custody event | Confirm with the originating jail or corrections agency |
| Federal contract prisoner moved | Named federal authority or BOP when applicable |
The broader Released Last 72 Hours process helps define a three-day request, but it does not unlock a hidden online Henderson feed.
